Once Upon a Time

Nothing. Once Upon a Time does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, analytics, advertising IDs, or behavioral data. We have no servers and no accounts.
Every story you write or dictate is stored exclusively on your device. They never leave your iPhone unless you choose to share or export them yourself through the iOS share sheet, PDF export, or your own iCloud backup.
This app is built for parents to capture stories told to their kids, and child names entered as tags are stored locally on the parent's device only. Tags, story content, and any audio dictation never sync to a server, never appear in analytics, and never reach any third party. Once Upon a Time is rated 4+ and is fully compliant with COPPA and similar children's privacy regulations because no data is collected from anyone, including children.
Once Upon a Time does not include any third-party SDKs, analytics, advertising frameworks, or tracking technologies. Apple's standard iOS frameworks (UIKit, SwiftUI, WidgetKit, SiriKit, Speech) are used solely to render the app's interface and provide system features you opt into (widgets, Siri shortcuts, dictation).
Once Upon a Time only requests system permissions when you trigger a feature that needs them. Speech recognition is requested only when you tap the dictation button, and the audio is processed by Apple's on-device speech engine — it never reaches our servers (because we have none). The app does not request location, contacts, photos, camera, or any other sensitive permissions.
If this policy is ever updated, the change will appear at this URL with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's "What's New" release notes.
